VERSION 1.7.0 Coming soon
Volunteer hours that count themselves
Volunteer hours now settle almost by themselves: if you check in via the app at the work site, the hours are credited when the session ends, and everything else goes to the committee as a request. Your club decides whether and how extra hours are paid, the cut-off date determines the period, and a preview shows what will happen before settlement. If the SEPA mandate for a payout is missing, it is paid later — and Racqt reminds you in good time before the cut-off date. Plus lots of small improvements: the member import understands your own export, the player search filters by availability, and mixed matches appear as doubles.
Read the article: Racqt 1.7 — volunteer hours that count themselves, and new club websites- Two templates in the style of big tennis clubs: “Sporty” – spacious, with large photos and fine lines – and “Friendly” – warm, with soft cards and a serif typeface
- One club colour is enough: your whole colour scheme grows out of it – dark and light areas, matching greys and an accent colour automatically chosen as its counterpart. Text always stays easy to read
- New navigation: menu items with subpages open a large menu with short descriptions and your next event; on a phone, a full-screen menu opens
- The site comes alive: photos zoom in gently as they load, sections glide in as you scroll, figures count up – anyone who has set “Reduce motion” on their device sees everything straight away without animation
- Your site looks finished even without your own photos: wherever an image is missing, a designed area in your club colours appears
- Events get an event image: it appears on the event page and in the large menu for the next event
- Under “Erscheinungsbild” (Appearance) you can see your home page in each template before you save
- More than 20 building blocks for your pages: a big intro with a photo or collage, text and image, offers, key figures, a quote, gallery, FAQ, contact with map, video, timeline and more
- Events, news, teams, courses, facilities, fees and sponsors fill themselves automatically from your club data
- The new page editor shows the outline on the left, your page in the middle exactly as visitors see it – on a phone too – and the settings on the right
- Changes are saved automatically as a draft; only “Veröffentlichen” (Publish) puts them online, and you can bring back older versions via “Versionen” (Versions)
- All subpages – from teams and events to forms and the legal notice – appear in your template’s colours and fonts
- New clubs already find a ready-made home page in draft
- If you check in via the app at the work site, the scheduled hours are credited to you automatically after the session ends — no confirmation by the committee needed
- You can check in on the day of the session from one hour before it starts
- If location doesn’t work or you’re not right at the work site, you check in as a request; the committee confirms your hours, and if they decline, you see the reason in the app
- For the committee, all requests are collected in the new “Freigaben” (Approvals) tab: confirm individually, adjust hours, confirm several at once or decline with a reason
- On a session’s page you see all participants and can correct hours until settlement — for example if someone left early
Cut-off date and extra hours
- Your club’s cut-off date now determines the period in which hours count — with 30 September, for example, it runs from 1 October to 30 September; with 31 December nothing changes
- If your club introduces volunteer hours mid-year, it sets when the obligation starts — nobody pays compensation for a time before that
- After the cut-off date, the finished period stays visible until it has been settled, and you can still choose there what happens to your extra hours
- Compensation for missing hours and payment for extra hours now each have their own rate; whether extra hours are paid at all is decided by your club with a switch
- Your club decides whether you can have extra hours paid out, donate them to the club, or choose either — and can make payout the default if you don’t choose
- A donation never applies automatically; you always choose it yourself. “Let expire” no longer exists, it’s now part of donating to the club
- In the app and in the portal you can always see how many extra hours you have, roughly what they’re worth and what happens to them
Settling volunteer hours
- Before every settlement, a preview shows what happens for each member: compensation, payout, donation or nothing
- The preview warns about extra hours without a choice, missing SEPA mandates, payouts above the volunteer allowance (Ehrenamtspauschale), missing bank details and requests still open
- Settlement does nothing the preview didn’t show — if something has changed in the meantime, Racqt asks you to take another look
- If the SEPA mandate for a payout is missing, it stays pending instead of expiring; once the mandate is there, you create a back-payment file for the bank
- The legal notes on compensation, payment and the volunteer allowance are right next to the settings
Notifications about volunteer hours
- The committee is told by notification, push and email when a new check-in request is waiting or a payout is pending for lack of a mandate
- You hear as soon as you first go above your target, and get a reminder 14 days before the cut-off date — about your choice for extra hours or about the compensation that will otherwise be due
- Every notification comes exactly once, and in the iPhone app a tap takes you straight to the volunteer hours of the right club
- You can edit your member export and import it again — email addresses are kept
- If you leave the “Rolle” (role) column in the template empty, the person simply arrives as a member
Cancelling in the app
- You can now cancel your club membership right in the app: Racqt shows you beforehand on which date your leaving takes effect under your club’s notice period, and until then everything carries on as usual – including your fee
- Your cancellation goes to the committee as a request; until they decide, you can withdraw it. Confirmed or declined with a query – you get a notification either way
- For the committee: when a member cancels in the app, the request appears in the member list and in the member record with the date received, the leaving date from your statutes’ notice period and the reason – confirming is one click, and when declining you can briefly tell the member why
- Racqt uses the large screen of foldable phones such as the iPhone Duo or the Pixel Fold, and of tablets: unfolded, your chats sit on the left and the open chat right next to them, and the tabs move to the edge
- If you fold or unfold your phone, nothing is lost: the open chat, a post you’ve started and half-filled forms stay exactly as you left them
- In the club calendar, on large screens you see the month and your daily schedule side by side
- If your phone stands half open like a book, Racqt splits the view exactly at the fold – no button sits in the crease any more
- Posts, articles and sign-in stay comfortable to read on wide screens, and cover images grow with them instead of turning into narrow strips
Apps for iPhone & Android
- In the player search you can now filter by availability — mornings, evenings or at the weekend — and the app only finds players who have time then
- Mixed matches appear in the feed and in your match list as doubles, with both partners
- Court prices and amounts in the club area are shown to the cent in the iPhone app
- The player search no longer stays empty when you push the rating slider all the way to the right
- In the iPhone app, the player search shows matching players as soon as you open it — and the filters for playing style and match type now really work
- If you chose “Mixed” or “Singles & doubles” as your match type in the portal, the iPhone app signs you in normally again, and your statistics load reliably
- You can now really delete a chat: it only disappears for you, the others keep it – and only once everyone has deleted it is it gone for good. The app asks briefly first
- For a coaching session, the duration automatically matches the chosen service, and you pay exactly the price from the coach’s price list
- If you cancel the payment while booking a court, the court is free again immediately – and you can cancel a booking that hasn’t been paid yet free of charge
- If your club cancels an event in the Android app, you automatically get paid participation fees back
- Private notes on your matches can be edited again without an error message
- The Android app checks your set score as you enter it and tells you clearly what doesn’t fit
- In the iPhone app, committee members can create blocked times for their courts again
- After deleting your account, the Android app takes you cleanly to sign-in
- In the iPhone app, set entry for a match jumps from field to field, only accepts valid results and confirms when it has saved
- If you enter a match, you no longer get a notification about your own result – your fellow players are told who entered it instead
- If you change a match afterwards, your head-to-head record against that opponent is correct again too
- “Booking confirmed” now also arrives when you pay by invoice, direct debit or PayPal – not just for free courts
- If you cancel the PayPal payment in the Android app or close the PayPal window, the court is free again immediately
- With large text, the search field, times and event titles stay fully readable in the Android app
- A match you entered yourself can now be deleted in both apps – the app asks briefly first
- In the Android app too, set entry jumps from field to field and closes the keyboard as soon as the match is decided
- Already in the booking form and at payment you see in both apps what your court costs – and free courts say “Kostenlos” (Free) instead of “0,00 €”
- If you tap a court booking in the iPhone app, you see all the details such as payment, guest and note and can cancel directly
- Times in the iPhone app are shown without seconds, and you remove a blocked time after a brief confirmation
- Bio, town and postcode in your profile can be cleared again in both apps
- In a direct chat in the Android app, you now reach the chat details and muting just like on the iPhone
- If you cancel a new match or post in the Android app, the app asks whether you really want to discard the draft
- Committee members now manage their members in the Android app with search, role changes and removal with confirmation – and see all members, not just the first ones
- In the Android app you can now request your data just like on the iPhone – you get the download link by email
- The iPhone app has its own “Hilfe & Support” (Help & Support) page with the help centre, email contact and postal address
- The Android app’s status bar adapts to the chosen appearance, and in dark mode events and news are easier to read
- Many texts in both apps are clearer and more consistent – for example “S/N” (W/L) in the statistics, rounded percentages and German number formats
- VoiceOver and TalkBack read out more buttons understandably, such as “Gefällt mir” (Like), “Senden” (Send) and “Zum Kalender hinzufügen” (Add to calendar)
- If you cancel your registration for an event, you get a confirmation by notification and email – with the amount you’ll get back
